Commonwealth Place

Commonwealth Place was opened in 2002 replacing two jetties that had been located in front of the High Court and The National Library. While  any of the four tie up loacations are available for use, we tend to prefer the High Court end.

Commonwealth Place is located conveniently near the National Library, the National Science and Technology Centre “Questacon”, The National Portrait Gallery, the High Court and the National Gallery.

Each of them has its own special attraction and they are all worth a visit. It is worth noting that Questacon is one of the few buildings that have an entrance fee.

You can also be reach Old Parliament House from Commonwealth Place but it is a slightly longer walk. It is another location that has an entry fee.
